"Carving out Power: African Solutions for African Problems"

areas_interest
Why We Exist
"AGSI was established on the realisation that Africa has never been allowed to exercise sovereignty to determine its own political and economic fate. For the entire period of Western domination of world affairs, including the latter period of "rule-based" order, Africa's slot has been that of slavery, colonialism, and neo-colonialism by the West. AGSI was established based on observable compelling signs that the era of the unipolar "rule-based" order is coming to an end, and is gradually being replaced by the emergence of the multipolar world with different centres of sovereign power, AGSI sought to position itself as the defender and enabler, and contends that achieving peace and security in Africa constitutes a significant step towards Africa's attainment of sovereign power, in order to achieve peace and security in the world.
- AGSI
Our Directors
Our specialized teams design processes that ensure Africa's independence and sovereignty stance.

We are of the opinion that comprehensive development in Africa requires peace and stability to reign in all conners of Africa. As AGSI, we position ourselves as the defender and enabler of the processes that enhance the agency of the continent in its interaction with the world. View the AGSI leadership:

AGSI recruitment targets members terminating their services within government structures such as in the diplomatic and law-enforcement arena, including academics who subscribe to the vision and mission of the institute. A significant number of highly experienced and skilled government functionaries exit the civil service for one reason or another - The Institute serves as a repository of these skills and talents to put them at the service of government on a consultancy and/or advisory role.
